We must work and live by faith

(Hebrews 11: 7)

After many years of God’s creation of mankind and placing him in charge of God’s planet, Earth, the devil worked on man’s mind to the point that doubt, planted by Lucifer, the devil, came i n to mankind’s mind. Faith in God was destroyed and man’s selfish nature took first place in his life.

“And God saw that the wickedness of man was great on Earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the Lord that he had made man on earth, and it grieved him at his heart.” (Genesis 6:5-6)

The Lord said, “I will destroy man whom I created from the face of the earth…But Noah found Grace in the eyes of the Lord.” Therefore, “By faith Noah being warned of God… prepared an Ark to the saving of his house.” (verse 7)

God told Noah, “With thee will I establish my covenant…Make thee an ark of gopher wood…for you, your wife, your three sons and their wives, and every living thing on the earth shalt thou bring into the ark. Thus Noah did according to all that God commanded him to do.” (Genesis 6: 18-22) God said to Noah, “Come thou into the ark for I have seen righteous before me in this generation.” (Genesis 7:1)

Noah built the ark and Noah, his wife, his sons and their wives, and God’s created sampling by twos were saved because of Noah’s faith in God.

Back in Genesis, God gives to us shadows of mankind through Abel, Enoch, and Noah of what was to come for mankind in the New Testament days through Jesus, God’s Son, who would become mankind’s Saviour from sin by accepting and having faith in Jesus as our Saviour and Lord of our lives.

In these three shadows of mankind we see the importance of worship by faith in Abel, how to walk by faith in Enoch, and how to work by faith in Noah.

When we put these three characteristics together, we have an excellent formula by which to live our lives through faith in God, Jesus, and His Holy Spirit.

Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice by faith in the depth of his heart and mind. Enoch by continuously walking with God in worship was translated to Heaven without dying a physical death.

Noah was warned of God about mankind’s sinfulness and was saved; he, his wife, three sons and their wives to be a seed of God for a new generation of people.

We, in the New Testament days, have all of this wrapped up in Jesus Christ, God’s Son, our Saviour, when we repent of our sins and accept Jesus as our Saviour we receive everlasting life from God.
