Horner speaks on new cancer treatment approach



Dr. Richard Horner speaks to the OLLI@UGA, Washington Affiliate, as he described a new approach to cancer treatment with the statement, “Instead of the scorched earth effort to kill all cancer cells, the technique involves inhibiting the specific biochemical pathway producing those cells.” Dr. Horner also mentioned Gleevec as a treatment for one kind of leukemia. Dr. Horner is retired after 36 years in oncology practice. He and his wife, Margaret, reside in Washington.
