During a busy day of Superior Court proceedings last Friday, two cases were adjudicated and sentences pronounced, according to District Attorney Bill Doupé, as follows.

Takela Jones pled guilty to felony murder and cruelty to children in the First Degree stemming from the August 25, 2015, murder of six-week-old Sydney Lewis. The court sentenced her to life with the possibility of parole.

Sentario Williams pled guilty to voluntary manslaughter and possession of a firearm by a first offender on probation resulting from the shooting death of 25-year-old Darrius Wilkinson following a melee outside of the Lucky Day Café during the early morning hours of May 14, 2016.
