OLLI meeting features music of Burton and Arora

Patricia Burton (center) chats with Marcia Delany (left) while Joanne Pollock and John Webster wait to express their appreciation for the wonderful program presented by Mrs. Burton and her daughter, Julie Burton Arora at the recent OLLI@ UGA gathering. About 50 members and guests of the Washington Affiliate of OLLI attended as Mrs. Burton and her daughter described the evolution of Western music. They covered about 2,000 years of development from simple, one melody pieces to complex operatic productions. Examples from six periods, Monophonic to Modern, were performed using piano, violin, and voice.
