If you are at least 18 years of age and desire to improve your communication and leadership skills, you are invited to attend. Meetings are held on each first, third, and fifth Thursday at the Lincoln County Library, 181 N. Peachtree Street, in Lincolnton.

The Episcopal Church of the Mediator will host its annual Bazaar and Luncheon in the Parish House on December 2. The Country Kitchen will open at 10:30 a.m., with lunch following at 11:30.

The Tignall City Council will meet at City Hall in Tignall on Wednesday, December 13, at 7 p.m.

The Taliaferro County School Wind Ensemble will present the annual veterans program at 9:30 a.m. Friday, November 17, in the gym. The public is invited.

Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Rayle will celebrate Family and Friends Day Sunday, December 3, at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Ben K. Willis delivering the message. The public is invited.

The Wilkes County Board of Education will meet at the board office on N. Alexander Avenue on Monday, December 18, at 2 p.m.

Hilliard Station Baptist Church will celebrate its eighth annual Family and Friends Day program on Sunday, November 19, at 2:30 p.m. Reverend Paul Hull of Heard’s Chapel Baptist Church will be the speaker for the occasion. Dinner will be served.

The W-WCHS Class of 1982 will hold its 35th reunion on Saturday, December 2, from 6-10 p.m., at The Jockey Club at Talk of the Town. The Wilkes County Board of Commissioners will meet at 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 14, at the ¬≠Wilkes County courthouse. A work session in the chairman’s office will be held immediately prior beginning at 1 p.m.
