The annual “Toys for Tots” Christmas initiative is now underway in Wilkes County, and donations and applications for the program are currently being accepted. The initiative seeks to make Christmas a very merry time for area children and families in need.

Hulin Avenue in Tignall.

Likewise, applications must be turned in at The Pope Center by December 1. The Pope Center will be open from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Wednesday Friday, November 29-December 1 with assistance available for filling out applications and for turning in applications. Parents or guardians must present social security cards for themselves and their children at the time of application submission.
