Episcopal Women will serve lunch, sell goodies this Sat.

The Episcopal Church Women of the Church of the Mediator will be serving their traditional luncheon on Saturday, December 2, at 11:30 a.m. at the Parish House. The Country Kitchen, offering baked goods, candies, condiments, jellies, and hand-crafted items, will open at 10:30 a.m. in the “Old Vicarage,” adjacent to the church building.

Proceeds from the annual event go toward charitable giving and parish needs that are not met in the operating budget. The cost of the luncheon is $10, and take-outs are available. Parking space can be found behind the Parish House off Episcopal Way.

The cooks have announced that once again, Wilkes County Artichoke Mustard Pickle will be for sale. They ask that patrons notice that the Country Kitchen will be in the “Old Vic.”

The luncheon tables will be decorated for Christmas, and some Christmas items will be offered. The event follows downtown Washington’s Candlelight Shopping. Dating back to the 1890’s, the Episcopal Bazaar has long been an integral part of Washington-Wilkes’ Christmas celebration. The public is cordially invited.
