Donation will pay for X-ray equipment

Relyant Communications Marketing Director Billy Caddell (second from left) presents a Georgia Heart Contribution to Wills Memorial Hospital CEO Tracie Haughey as (l-r) Radiology Department Manager Debra Hardy, Human Resources Manager Susan Pope, and Radiology Technician Elizabeth Hill look on.

Relyant’s contribution to the hospital through the Georgia Heart tax credit program will allow the hospital to purchase a much-needed new X-ray machine for the Radiology Department.

“Our Radiology department is a very important component of the hospital’s business,” Pope said. “They do over 350 X-rays every month. We began having issues with our X-ray machine earlier this year and we have been trying to figure out how we would replace it. Relyant has come to our rescue with their generous contribution through the Georgia Heart tax-credit program.”

The hospital has seen recent increases in contributions made through the Georgia Heart.org tax credit. “We are very excited that our supporters have decided to give their tax dollars to Wills Memorial instead of sending them to Atlanta,” Pope added. “We hope that this program, which is currently slated to go through 2018 and 2019, will continue to benefit our hospital as donors see the benefits of keeping their tax dollars in our community.”
