Washington Personal Mention

Spending last week with Diana Blackburn was Betsy Adams of Sanford, Connecticut. Other visitors included Mrs. Blackburn’s cousins, Connie Fischer of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and David Lawler of Atlanta. lOn Thanksgiving Day Ruth Rogers was a dinner guest of Dot and Joe Harris at Talk of the Town. Also joining the group was the Harris’ guest, Ruth Harris. lJulia and Dennis Palmer spent Thanksgiving Day at the home of their daughter and son-in-law, Dona and Jeff Hornung, in Evans. Others joining them were Eddie, Tracy, and Baylee Palmer and Floyd Martin of Americus, Carol Palmer of Harlem, Shaun and Brody Nale of Martinez, Heather and Brooke Shivers, Canden Echols and Andrew Cottingham of Evans, and Jake Hornung of Athens. lDonna Hardy and Jane Burton visited their aunt and uncle, Dot and Lawrence Cecchini in Elberton Sunday. Joining the gathering was the Cecchini’s daughter and grandchildren, Pat Moon, Amelia and Coulton, also of Elberton. lJoyce and Pierce Barden were in Athens Sunday to attend the University of Georgia Senior Gala Event at The Classic Center joining their family, Anita and Ronnie Payne, Hannah Payne, and Christian Payne, a member of the Georgia Bulldogs team, Others with the family were Christian’s friend, Danielle Patrick, his grandmother, Charlotte Payne, and friends, Athena and Dean Paul of Athens. Christian received numerous honors and trophies and his senior ring. The Bardens remained overnight with the Payne family before returning home Monday. l Bonnie Bounds of Columbus, Ohio, enjoyed the Thanksgiving holidays with her parents, Cindy and Lincoln Bounds, and Thanksgiving dinner with her grandmother, Hazel Russell. lRuth Rogers traveled to Covington on Saturday for a visit with her daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Wayne Cooper. Grandson Alex Cooper of Lumberton, N.C., arrived on Saturday to join his family after spending the holidays with his wife, Madison, and her family in Savannah. All were joined by Sarah Cooper and Daniel Cooper on Sunday for the bountiful Thanksgiving dinner. Mrs. Rogers returned to Washington on Tuesday. lJohn Bounds and friend, Victoria Wolfe, enjoyed the Thanksgiving holidays in Stockbridge with her family, Claire Perry and Don Wolfe.
