Benjamin Willis visited J.W. and Bonnie Boatwright on Thursday, March 1.

. Nina Boatwright brought a delicious lunch to J.W. and Bonnie Boatwright on Thursday. They enjoyed her visit and the meal.

. Rev. Jim Newsome visited Bonnie Boatwright on Friday, March 2. Unfortunately, J.W. was in the hospital in Athens. Please say a prayer for him that his health may continue to improve.

. Floyd and Peggy Higgins enjoyed the company of their niece, Gracie Dill of Lincolnton, over the weekend. They visited with Peggy’s mother, Mary Dill of Lincolnton, on Sunday, March 4. They all attended Jones Chapel Church that morning.

. Happy birthday to mother and son, Geraldine Willis Dill and Marcus Dill! Marcus celebrates on March 7 and Geraldine celebrates March 9. Geraldine’s sister, Brenda Willis, always remembers to wish them many happy returns. May you both have wonderful birthdays and a blessed upcoming year.

. Community youth are invited to join Sardis Baptist Church’s Easter program. Practice is underway now and occurs during children’s church on Sunday mornings. Children will be performing during the morning worship service on Easter Sunday, April 1.

. An Easter egg hunt will be held at Sardis Baptist Church on Sunday, March 25, followed by a hot dog lunch. All community children are welcome, as well as donations of candy-filled eggs for children to hunt! There are lots of eggs and candy ready to be chosen at the Dollar General in Rayle.

. Mark your calendars for Vacation Bible School at Sardis Baptist Church. This year it will kick off on Sunday, June 3, and wrap up on Friday, June 8. All children are welcome!
