Eva Mae Durham

Funeral services for Eva Mae Durham were held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, April 7, in the sanctuary of the Elizabeth First Baptist Church in Abbeville, Georgia, with the pastor, Rev. Michael Acree, officiating. Burial followed at the Mount Zuma/ Cortez Cemetery in Abbeville. She died Saturday, March 31, at the Pine Pointe Hospice Inpatient Facility in Macon, Georgia.

Survivors include her loving and devoted children, Robin Durham Booker and her husband, Deacon Enoch Booker of Washington, Georgia; Walter O. Durham and his wife, Debra Durham of Jacksonville, Florida; Deacon William O. Durham and his wife, Robin Smith Durham of Albany, Georgia; Laura Ann Durham of Abbeville, Georgia; Valerie Hope Durham of Jacksonville, Florida; and Sandra Denise Durham of Jonesboro, Georgia; her loving grandchildren, one of whom she reared, Clifford Keith Durham and his wife, Monae Durham, of Newport News, Virginia; Thomas Booker, Andrea Durham, Damion Durham, Taffnie Durham, Walter Durham Jr., William Dennis Durham, Zachary Durham, Tara Durham-Hart, and Kourtney Durham Smith and her husband, Maurice Smith; great-grandchildren; her beloved brothers, Paul Singleton and Jerome Singleton both of Macon, Georgia; Walter “Boot” Durham and his wife, Beverly Durham of Miami, Florida; and James “J.D.” Durham of Detroit, Michigan; her loving sisters, Diane Singleton of Macon, Georgia, Rose Mary Ell-Amin of Warner Robins, Georgia, and Geraldine Mitchell and her husband, Charles Mitchell of Detroit, Michigan; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.

The J. W. Williams Funeral Directors of Cordele and Vienna were in charge of the arrangements.
