New Beginnings

Daniel Gage Stephens

Katie and Scott Stephens of Evans announce the birth of their son, Daniel Gage, on Monday, March 26, at Augusta University Medical Center in Augusta. Gage weighed 8 lbs. 11 ozs. and was 21.5 inches long. He has four brothers, Beau, 16; Brayden, 10; Sawyer, four and a half; and J.B., two and a half years old.

Maternal grandparents are Debbie and Randy Danner of Tignall. Maternal great-grandparents are Jo-Anne Danner and the late J.B. Danner of Tignall and the late Sara and Gene Lamar of Washington.

Paternal grandparents are Karen and Glen Stephens of Evans. Inez Stephens of Thomson is the paternal great-grandmother.

Mrs. Stephens is the former Katie Danner of Tignall.

Peyton Silas Stokes

Mr. and Mrs. Josh Stokes of Washington announce the birth of their son, Peyton Silas, on Monday, April 2, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Athens. Peyton weighed 7 lbs. 9 ozs. and was 19 inches long. He has a brother, Preston, who is eight years old.

Peyton is the first baby on his father’s side of the family to be born at St. Mary’s where the nursery, The Joe Ann Mitchell Newborn Nursery, is named after his great-great-aunt who was a labor and delivery nurse there for many years.

Maternal grandparents are Tina and Bruce Bailey of Washington and Jan and James Walters of Elberton. Maternal great-grandparents are Marie and Martin Bagwell and Carol Walters and the late Bob Walters of Elberton.

The paternal grandmother is Sheila Lattimore of Watkinsville and Sarah Willoughby, also of Watkinsville, is his great-aunt. The late Lola Belle Willoughby of Watkinsville is the paternal great-grandmother.

Mrs. Stokes is the former Lynsey Walters of Washington.
