The revelation of Christ to us

(Revelation 1:1-3)

The Revelation is the last message from God to us through Jesus Christ, God’s Son, who died on the Cross for us. Jesus shed His blood so we could be made clean from the filth of our sins commi t ted during our physical life on Earth. This message comes to us from Jesus, through His beloved Apostle John, who was on the Island of Patmos.

John had been proclaiming Jesus’ message of Salvation for mankind that would deliver mankind from their sins, and give to them external life through repentance and acceptance of Jesus Christ as our Saviour. Then we will be forgiven of all sin in our life. When death comes to us, our sins will be forgiven through belief and acceptance of Jesus as Saviour spiritually before our physical death takes place. Therefore, God’s Son, Jesus Christ, gives to us The Revelation through John, who gives to us this message before we die and leave this Earth. By writing down The Revelation from Jesus, the Saviour of mankind and God’s gift to mankind, brings eternal life to mankind’s soul before he dies.

The first verse says, “The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to show unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John.” (verse 1) We must pause at this moment and get ready to listen to Jesus’ most important message to us through Jesus’ last Apostle on Earth.

The Apostle John, “Who bore the record of the word of God, and the testimony of Jesus Christ about all things that he saw.” (verse 2)

The next verse tells us how important The Revelation is for our life and soul. It says, “Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.” (verse 3)

Why do we have this statement given to us? Because no one knows when the physical life will end, and we must know Jesus to be our Saviour before that happens to us. Therefore, God through Jesus, through John, gives to us The Revelation for our eternal soul’s salvation with God in Heaven.
