Charles Edwin Funkhouser

Graveside services for Charles “Chuck” Edwin Funkhouser, 72 of Independence Street in Tignall, Georgia, were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2018, at the Independence United Methodist Church cemetery in Tignall. He died on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at his residence.

Mr. Funkhouser, son of the late Emmett Funkhouser and Lucille Funkhouser was born in Minnesota and served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. Following retirement from his trucking business, he had resided in Tignall.

His wife, Pat Brown Funkhouser, stepson, Sandy Roberson, and brother, Gary Funkhouser, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his companion, Connie Dove; four children, stepson Gwyn Roberson and wife, Angie of Tignall; a brother, Don Funkhouser and wife Linda of Dade City, Florida; sisters, Darlene Carroll of Center Hill, Florida, and Sue Perron and husband Danny of Wisconsin; and a sister-in-law, Julie Funkhouser of Cottage Grove, Minnesota.

Beggs Funeral Home of Lincolnton was in charge of arrangements.
