Washington Rotary Club presents year-end awards

Joey Fievet, a 45-year member of the Washington Rotary Club, and Polly Fievet (above) received the President’s Award from two-term president Terry Boswell for exemplifying “Service Above Self,” the Rotary motto, and the Spirit of Rotary, and for “living the Four-Way Test daily.”

Other awards presented included The Heisman Trophy to Jim Baston (at right) for the best record of the year in picking winners in the club’s weekly college football prognostication fundraiser. On the other end of that spectrum, Jerry Stover (below) received “The Fish” for being the worst at selecting winners, presented by multiple fish winner, Preston Sanders.

Steve Albertson and Boswell (bottom right) were recognized for their contributions to the Georgia Rotary Student Program (GRSP) through hosting international students as they travel here annually from around the world
