Tiger varsity cheerleaders advance to state championship round on Fri.

Last Saturday, November 3, the Washington-Wilkes Tiger Varsity Competition Cheerleaders qualified for a spot in the top eight squads which will compete for the state championship.

Competing at First Presbyterian Day School against 15 other Class A Public schools in the GHSA Sectionals, the Tiger cheerleaders received seventh place and advanced to the state competition set for this Friday, November 9, at the Columbus Civic Center starting at 7 p.m. They will be the fourth team to compete.

Other Class A Public squads competing, in place order, are Gordon Lee, Trion, Commerce, Irwin County, Schley County, Lake Oconee Academy, and ACE charter.
