Evan Harrison receives doctorate in aerospace engineering from Tech

Evan Harrison Evan Harrison Evan Harrison received his Doctor of Philosophy in Aerospace Engineering from The Georgia Institute of Technology in commencement exercises Friday, December 14.

During his studies, Evan worked as a Senior Graduate Researcher. He was awarded the William T. Piper Sr. General Aviation Systems Graduate Award and named the 2016 Department of Transportation Student of the Year for the Federal Aviation Administration Centers of Excellence.

Evan has accepted a position as a Research Engineer for the Aerospace Systems Design Laboratory at Georgia Tech.

He is the son of Ann and Jimmy Harrison of Tignall, the grandson of Selina and Herbert Hopkins of Washington, and the late Mary Ellen and Donald Harrison of Tignall.

Evan and his wife, Caitlin, live in Smyrna.
