The revelation to John continues

By REV. FICKLEN GUIN
(Revelation 11:15-19)

In these next verses of chapter 11, God sounds a very important message to all of us to help us become believers in God’s plan of Salvation for all of mankind who will believe in Jesus Christ as God’ s Son, and the Saviour of all people. It says, “ And the seventh angel sounded.” Seven is a complete number in God’s mind and heart and therefore we must pay close attention to this message.

“And there were great voices in heaven, saying, ‘The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and his Christ, and he shall reign for ever and ever.” (verse 15)

We see in these verses God taking His step through Jesus to bring the Old Testament and the New Testament of mankind together as believers in God, through Jesus Christ, God’s only Begotten Son.

We see this taking place in the next verse where it says, “And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces and worshipped God.” (verse 16)

The 24 elders represent the whole of mankind as believers in God through Jesus. In the Old Testament there are 12 sons of Jacob, the Israelite nation of God’s first chosen people; and in the New Testament we have the 12 apostles that assisted Jesus in bringing God’s message to the world of believers. Therefore, in the next verse of this chapter in Revelation, we hear this: “Saying, we give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come, because thou hast taken to thee thy great power and has reigned.” (verse 17)

We hear God speaking of the past, present, and future of all mankind in this verse. That is what God must do before the endtime comes on this earth. God created this world for mankind and the devil, the wicked angel who hates God, does his best to destroy God’s creation. But God is all powerful as the creator and therefore, as we continue on in The Revelation, we are going to see how God carries out His plan of salvation for mankind to the fullest extent, that includes all of mankind who will come to a believing faith in Jesus Christ.
