The Wilkes County Young Farmers Association held its annual Georgia Summer Tour in Rome, Georgia, June 20-21. Those attending toured Genex, an AI facility for bulls; Burt's Beef, a grass fed beef facility owned by Teddy Gentry, a singer in the former Alabama band; and Tennessee River Music, the farm of former Alabama lead singer Randy Owen. Attending the tour were Eric, Jennifer, Ethan and Eli Holton; Herman and Amelia Wheatley; Kyle, Kim, Colton, and Whitney Bearse; and Shane, Amy, Lindsey, and Walker Moore.
