Eleven Wilkes County campers attended the Salvation Army's annual summer camp at Camp Grandview the week of June 15 including (front row, l-r) Maleekia Wright, Dyneshia Williams (winner of the camp singing award), Danielle Tate, Jazquanna Williams, Caitlyn Tate, (back) Christopher Crew, Wyatt Moore, Christian Moore, Zachary Moore, Pharoah Williams, and Hallie Sargent. In collaboration with the Salvation Army, the camp was funded by donations from the community including the Adult 1 Sunday School Class at Phillips Mills Baptist Church, the Washington Optimist Club, the Washington Rotary Club, the Cornelia Johnson Circle, the Mary Burton Primetime Sunday School Class, and the Washington Kiwanis Club.
